Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, and Queen Elizabeth II loves to spend her weekends in this stunning fortress. Built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror, the castle is still a favorite residence of the royal family.
This sprawling grand home covers an area of 13 acres and overlooks charming Windsor town – pay the castle a visit and find out why our royals have lived here for centuries!
The State Apartments
Take a look inside the heart of the working palace – the State Apartments. Regularly used for ceremonial and official occasions, the Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works of art from the Royal Collection. Try and spot the paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens and Leonardo da Vinci that hang from the walls! During the winter months the richly decorated Semi-State Rooms are added to the visitor route.
There are two stations serving Windsor both of which are no more than a 5 minute walk from the pier. Windsor and Eton Central or Windsor and Eton Riverside. Trains leave from Paddington and tickets may cost only £10 if booked early.
Please plan your journey in advance.
For Windsor Castle, we suggest the time of 11:00 AM for a visit. The visit is unescorted.
Our Meet up time for the Windsor Cruise experience is 2:30 PM by riverside, the postcode to use is SL4 1QX. Board 3:00 PM, Disembark 5:00 PM
If you are late we will not be able to wait or return for you or offer you a refund or exchange either. Rules are in place for pier embarking and disembarking are strictly timed.
