Afternoon Tea Cruise on the Thames – All Welcome!

The Eid dining cruise experience is like no other Eid event offering a time to celebrate with loved ones and friends on the joyful occasion. As usual there is no fundraising at the event and an opportunity to soak in the spectacular views and discover the delicious Afternoon Tea with unlimited tea and coffee.

You can always stroll upstairs to take in the 360-degree views of London’s riverside landmarks which include, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, The Shard, London Eye, The Globe, St Paul’s, Big Ben, Cleopatra Needle, Tate Modern, Golden Hinde, and much more!

This time our own AbdulMaalik Tailor, Britain’s first professionally qualified Muslim tour guide, discover of London’s first mosque and the site of London’s first public Eid prayers 1894 and who campaigned successfully for a blue plaque there will be providing live commentary about the hidden Muslim gems on the River Thames! Do you know of any? Wishing to find out some then book the cruise!

There will be ice-breakers so not to worry if you don’t know anyone!

About the cruise:

It’s time to enjoy an afternoon with amazing like-minded people on the River Thames. An opportunity to network, eat delicious food, and take in the sights and sounds of the River Thames.

All past Eid cruises sold out in advance, with an extensive waiting list and based on our last Eid afternoon tea cruise there is much eagerness for people wishing to book this time. Therefore, please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

What is an Afternoon Tea?
Afternoon Tea is a tea-related ritual, introduced in Britain in the early 1840s. It evolved as a mini meal to stem the hunger from lunch and anticipation of an evening meal

Menu:

A selection of Halal sandwiches

Freshly baked scones – Plain scone with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve

Pastries – seasonal selection of pastries and macaroons

As much tea and coffee as you want from a selection of herbal and fruit teas

Indoor back seating – £50 each

Indoor Middle seating £55 each

Indoor Front Seating £60 each

Indoor Window seating, come in a pair – £70 each for 1 seat. If you wish to be seated with someone else please book together under one booking. We are unable to resolve this for you on the day. Window seaters will be given priority to board.

We do not offer a child rate and all tickets start from £50.00

Infants (0-2) are free as long as no seat or food is required and are mentioned on the booking page.

All bookings carry a nominal booking fee

Please note the following

You are not allowed to bring any drinks on board and drinks are to be purchased onboard the boat. This is a strict condition of the boat hire and anyone found to be bringing their own drinks will have them confiscated and may be refused entry if need be and no refunds or exchanges allowed. Apart from the Afternoon Tea, coffee and tea, additional drinks such as mocktails, soft drinks can be purchased on board.

Booking:

Dietary restrictions.
Whilst we will try to accommodate Vegetarian, Vegan, Celiac/ Gluten, dairy allergy, nut allergy, and seafood allergies, we would need to know at your time of booking. Cut off date is Sun 23rd April 2023. After this date we are unable to confirm any dietary requirement other than the standard halal afternoon tea option so please do not take any offence. Failure to make mention of your request may mean we are unable to cater for your requirement on the day.

Limited buggies are allowed on the boat and you will need to check with us first.

We only accept fully complete bookings, therefore you agree to provide legal full names and not a Kunya, nicknames, professional or any other by names e.g. revert name. This is required due to health and safety. We have the right to cancel a booking if this has not been provided.

All tickets are sold as stated and there are no alternatives on the day so make sure you book accordingly.

If you are booking on behalf of someone else, make sure you have informed them of the details on this page as they too will be governed by the T&Cs.

By booking this cruise you are agreeing that you are fit to wait at pier side and to travel on the boat. Regrettably we may not be able to help people on the day who have failed to enquire about their health needs prior to booking.

This cruise boat experience can not be compared to a boat experience we have organised before.

No refunds or exchanges to other experiences are offered once booked. If you are unable to attend you may transfer your booking to someone else provided you inform us by email 72 hours in advance. Regrettably, under 72 hours no transfers are possible etc are possible even with covid. You may transfer your ticket to a friend or family member ONLY with advance email confirmation 72 hours in advance, to [email protected] No transfers within the last 72 hours.

We will not tolerate any form of abuse for this condition especially being a Muslim company and comparing ourselves to non-Muslim. This condition also applies if you are late for whatever reason, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange to another experience. We are GDPR compliance with the ICO and will not entertain individuals wishing for us to breach these regulations. If you claim to be a lawyer you will be asked for your SAR number.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking or refuse the right of admission without disclosing our reasons why and we are unable to cater for you in the future if you wish for us to break the T&Cs and you wish for us to break GDPR and use racist language.

Before the day:
You will plan ahead and arrive at Tower Millennium Pier by 12:00 PM. If in doubt use www.tfl.gov.uk to plan ahead, don’t forget to use the correct date and arrival time. If you are travelling by private car or Uber please use: Tower Millennium Pier, Lower Thames Street, London EC3N 4DT. Do not confuse it with Tower Bridge Quay Pier.

We do not allow attendees to distribute leaflets or for other marketing distribution to take place on the boat except a business card.

On the day:

If you are praying we advise you to have wudu before boarding to make it easier at prayer time.

PLEASE BE ON TIME AS YOU MAY MISS THE BOAT! NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS IF YOU MISS THE BOAT.

Registration starts at 12:00 PM
Departure point: Tower Millennium Pier, Lower Thames Street, London EC3N 4DT

Boarding is at 12:45 PM, Sail 1:00 PM and returns to the same pier for disembarking at 4:45 PM. We are unable to wait for latecomers and there are no refunds or exchanges possible.

We are unable to wait for you being late as we end up paying a fine that is imposed on us which starts from £700.00, if we end up doing so this will be passed on to you. Similarly if you refuse to disembark once the boat docks back at the pier at 4:45 PM you agree to pay any fine that is imposed on us which once again starts at £700.00. You are allowed to continue any conversation on the pier itself once disembarking off the boat. All Piers have CCTV and operated by TFL, London River Services.

The Halal Tourism Britain team or third parties will not accept any form of abuse, alarm or distress as deemed by us from anyone. We reserve the right to call the river police to have any individual/s displaying such behaviour to have you or your group removed from the boat and there are no refunds or exchanges. If there are any concerns raised on the boat and they are resolved you are not able to repeat the concerns again to other members of the team or contacting the company wishing to seek additional benefit.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking or refuse the right of admission without disclosing our reasons why.

Note: On the day you would need to follow any instructions given by Halal Tourism Britain staff and crew of the boat for the smooth running of the event which also includes health and safety. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone causing disruption and unable to follow the instructions of staff and crew on the day. No refunds offered.

Transport
Tower Pier is also known as Tower Millennium Pier and is close to Tower Hill underground station served by the Circle and District lines. Tower Gateway DLR station and London Bridge train station are not far off.
Cars may be parked at Indigo Car Park, 50 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6DT. Bank holidays are £4.50 for the whole day.
The car park and Tower Pier is within the Congestion Charge Zone and the ULEZ. Whitechapel has free parking and is about a 10 minute walk away.

Plan ahead and use www.tfl.gov.uk if need be. Do not expect your ordinary train including Elizabeth train line to be running on the Bank holiday Monday.

Unfortunately, we are unable to reply to enquiries on the day about how to arrive or park on the day.
