7-Day Heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Sarajevo & Trebević Cable Car
Your adventure begins in Sarajevo, a city where history and nature meet. After settling in, you will enjoy a ride on the Trebević Cable Car, offering the most stunning panoramic views of the city from the heights of Mount Trebević. The day concludes with a visit to Baščaršija, the heart of the Old Town, for a traditional Bosnian coffee by the Sebilj fountain.
Day 2: Mostar, Jablanica Lake & Blagaj
On the second day, we head south to sunny Herzegovina. The first stop is Mostar, famous for its UNESCO-protected Old Bridge. We continue to Jablanica Lake for a short break to enjoy the emerald landscapes, and finish the day in Blagaj at the magnificent source of the Buna River and the historic Dervish Tekke, a site of incredible peace and natural energy.
Day 3: Srebrenica & Potočari Memorial Center
The third day is dedicated to paying respects and learning about the contemporary history of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a visit to the Potočari Memorial Centre. You will have the opportunity to visit the sacred part of the centre and the museum located in the former battery factory, providing a deep and dignified insight into the events of July 1995.
Day 4: Journey to Bihać via Jajce & Travnik
We travel toward the northwest, visiting historically significant towns along the way. First is Travnik, the city of viziers known for its fortress and “Plava Voda” (Blue Water). The journey continues to Jajce, a unique town featuring a spectacular 21-meter-high waterfall right in the city center where the Pliva River meets the Vrbas.
Day 5: Štrbački Buk Waterfall & Bihać
The fifth day is dedicated to the natural gems of the Una River. You will visit Štrbački Buk, the highest and most impressive waterfall in the Una National Park. After enjoying the wild nature, we return to Bihać to experience the famous hospitality of the Krajina region, with a planned Jumah prayer at a local mosque.
Day 6: Return to Sarajevo with a Stopover in Semješnica
The return journey toward central Bosnia includes a break at the Semješnica eco-zone near Donji Vakuf. This is a true natural paradise with streams and home-cooked food, perfect for relaxing and recharging before arriving back in Sarajevo in the evening.
Group dinner arranged
Day 7: Tunnel of Hope & Airport Transfer
On the final day, just before your departure, you will visit the Sarajevo Tunnel of Hope (Tunnel of Rescue Museum). This site is a symbol of the resistance and survival of Sarajevo’s citizens during the siege, and its location next to the airport runway makes it an ideal final stop. Following the museum tour, a short transfer will take you to the airport for your flight.
